American citizen Anne Hampton Potts was born in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 28, 1952, when she was 69. She is Powell Grisette Potts and Dorothy Harris’ third child. In the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer comedy Corvette Summer, starring Mark Hamill, Annie Potts made her debut on the big screen in 1978. She received a 1979 Golden Globe Award nomination.
